If you are a fruit and nut chocolate lover like I am I am pretty sure you will enjoy these healthy alternatives!! It is always nice to have a dairy free option for those kids and adults who can not eat the many Easter Eggs that have been in the shops lately. This recipe can be made with your choice of nuts but I have used almonds in this case, enjoy!

Ingredients:

1/4 cup rice malt syrup or pure honey

1/2 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup dried fruit of choice

2/3 cup roughly chopped raw nuts of choice (almonds, pistachios, cashews or hazelnuts)

1 tablespoon raw cacao powder

Place coconut oil and rice malt syrup or honey into a saucepan, melt and stir.

Add cacao and combine well.

Turn the heat off and stir in your choice of dried fruit and nuts.

Pour into silicon moulds and place in the refrigerator or freezer to set.

Once completely set, push out of the moulds and store in an air tight container.

*use organic nuts and dried fruit if possible
